If Asphalt 8 is a little too goofy for you, Gameloft has announced another racing game called GT Racing 2, launching this fall. It aims to be a "real car experience", and to that end was made in partnership with Mercedes-Benz. Details are slim about the game, though we do know that the game will hose 67 cars across 35 manufacturers. Some of the Mercedes-Benz cars being used in the game include the SLK 55, SLS, SLS GT3, and the 300 SL Gullwing.
We're seeing graphics that are at least on par with Asphalt 8 - it will be interesting to see how they stack up against the bigger name in racing sims, Real Racing 3.
