Airlines stick by 787 after London fire

Airlines are sticking by the Boeing 787 in the wake of Friday's Ethiopian Airlines fire in London.

Airlines that fly the Boeing Co. 787 are still confident in the plane in the aftermath of Friday's fire in an Ethiopian Airlines Dreamliner at Heathrow Airport in London.

The New York Times reports that the 13 airlines that currently fly the 787 aren't changing their use of the airplane, although some passenger-rights organizations are concerned.

Officials have ruled out the possibility the Ethiopian Airlines' fire was related to the Boeing (NYSE: BA) plane's battery system; woes that kept the Dreamliner out of the sky earlier this year for four months.
